Rams, Ewes and Lambs from afar

This past weekend we spent some time celebrating our goddaughter's birthday out on the farm that they live on. (you can see more memories and read about that here). It was a beautiful day spent celebrating out in the fresh spring air and sunshine.

What is a farm visit without taking the little ones out to pasture to see the spring lambs that have just been born.

Although the ram was a little over protective, we still got to see the ewes with their lambs from a distance.

These kind of weekends away from our home does spark new and interesting conversations through the week that follows. D finds a fresh new outlook on her farm animal books for me to read aloud. So, we went through her book list on her wishlist and she has decided that it is time to order Charlotte's Web for her next read aloud (her birthday is next month) which is perfect timing as we are on the last few chapters of Naughty Amelia Jane. I must add here that although I love Enid Blyton -  I think after reading the whole collection of that naughty doll one after the other it was a little much - we are now done with Amelia Jane's shenanigans and looking forward to a new adventure!
